PPC and paid social for ROI and engagement – Twisted Pendant

Founded in 2017, Twisted Pendant is a global e-commerce brand specialising in designing custom pendants and premium jewellery. The brand predominantly sells its chains and rings on Etsy and offers its full range of products on its website.

Brief

Twisted Pendant approached us to help increase their website traffic and purchases. They already had a successful Etsy account and wanted to encourage sales on their website so the business owner could regain complete control of his customers’ journey and first-party data. 

Approach 

Twisted Pendant came to us seeking a multichannel approach using a foundation of Meta and Google and the freedom to experiment with new, up-and-coming platforms. 

This flexible approach allowed us to experiment with platforms such as Pinterest and TikTok, with the latter proving to be very successful in reaching the right audiences and increasing sales and revenue. It also allowed us to trial new campaign types and put the budget into the best-performing avenues. 

We looked to convert returning customers from Etsy to website purchasers as well as reach a whole new audience through social and search platforms. 

We targeted the gift-purchasing market during holiday periods and with frequent offers. The industry and price point made this product ideal for gifts, and we saw sales peak during key holidays throughout the year. 

Results 

As a result of a multi-channel paid marketing strategy, the site has seen a 42% increase in website traffic, resulting in an increase of 65% in web sales, seeing the overall conversion rate up by 10%.

Since 2021, Meta advertising has seen £65,488.78 in revenue, with a 44% increase year-on-year. 

On TikTok, through a mixed approach of organic posting and paid advertising, the page has grown to 26.3K followers, with 117k likes and over 20 million views. This has also generated £21,516.42 in revenue.

On Google, we started by primarily focusing on shopping campaigns and soon experimented with Google’s new campaign structure, Performance Max, which uses account data and AI to better determine user behaviour. We noticed an almost immediate increase in sales and an 86% improvement in CPA. 

Google Ads now averages £22,000 in monthly revenue with a 3x ROAS.
